IKON, Annual Directors Meeting and Dinner, 100 Guests
THE EVENT
Ikon, the internationally acclaimed contemporary art gallery in Birmingham, were hosting an
annual meeting and dinner for directors; they were preparing for 100 guests, including special guest, Sir Nicholas Serota, director of theTate Gallery.
THE BRIEF
Ikon were looking for an event that would powerfully reflect the unique ambience of the artwork that they were exhibiting;Tim Maguire’s brilliant, vibrant pieces were to be projected onto the walls around an otherwise minimalist, simplistic environment, allowing guests to completely immerse themselves in the artist’s vision.
THE SOLUTION
Our dedicated team ensured that every element of our chosen décor, from the elegant, longstemmed glassware to the beautiful, symmetrical lines of the candle arrangements, embraced the artistic temperament of this venue. Rose petal cosmopolitans and Rossini cocktails complemented the vibrant colours of the artwork perfectly, while the clean simplicity of the square tables mirrored their geometrical balance. Guests enjoyed beef carpaccio, pan-seared wild sea bass and a selection of irresistible desserts whilst taking in the aura of this breathtaking space.
