About Us

Your vision; our expertise

Collective Minds began in 2006 as a natural development of Stones Events, a well-established catering company in Leicestershire that has been running since 2002. With its impeccable reputation for service and an ever-increasing client base, the business was expanded to offer clients the whole events package and, in 2008, Collective Minds announced the opening of its London office, followed shortly by the launch of the new website in May 2009.

Let’s put our heads together

Our dedicated and highly experienced team provide all aspects of pre, on-site and post event management – from design, concept and theme ideas to food and drink styling – offering clients a customized service and working closely with them in order to coordinate every aspect of the event. We want our clients to know that whatever they need to create the perfect experience, no matter how much or how little, we are here to provide it.

People

Tom Goodwin

Managing Director

As a small child, Tom was never keen on trying new foods. His family soon changed that, and after going to catering college, he flew out to Australia to work as a travelling chef. It was here that he developed his passion for fresh, modern cuisine and, at the tender age of 20,Tom opened his first restaurant.

Now, Tom has over 10 years experience in the events industry after selling his restaurants to focus on events management. He is a strong believer in forging lasting relationships, both personal and professional. Although a self-confessed workaholic, his family manage to keep his feet firmly on the ground.

“Collective Minds says it all – it’s about bringing your thoughts and our creative expertise together to give you an event that takes you beyond your greatest expectations”.

Katy Rose

Account Manager

We love having Katy on the team. With a strong background in financial events, conferences and marketing, she manages the venues at Collective Minds and provides all of the information on our website about our latest and trendiest hotspots. With a Diploma in Digital Marketing and a wealth of experience handling Sheridan & Co’s marketing and logistics at their London pop-up store, Insight, Katy handles all of our venue enquiries, site visits and client viewings with enthusiasm and creative flair.

Out of the office, Katy confesses that she has a particular weakness for shoes… and curry! She also has a first class degree in Drama, which we like to brag about, even if she doesn’t.

Jessica Bridgwood

Event Designer

Jessica is our innovative, fresh-thinking Event Designer. With a wealth of CM event experience under her belt and currently studying for the award-winning BA Hons in Fashion Design at Nottingham Trent University, she’s a hard worker and a design force to be reckoned with.

Jessica has a real passion and natural flair for the composition of fabrics, prints and contemporary styles. Her background in textiles has provided her with a solid foundation from which to express her creativity, and she has developed an in-depth knowledge of the branding and marketing of events at numerous press releases, catwalk shows, product and collection launches across London and the Midlands. She assists proactively with all of our event designs and communications, allowing clients to visualise the look and feel of their event and committing to every project from design through to delivery.

Away from the office, Jessica is a self-confessed shopaholic. We like to shop with her, too, because she has an expert eye for fashion and never misses a bargain!

Rachel Hind

PA & Accounts Administrator

Rachel is our invaluable PA. With more than 10 years of experience as PA to the MD of a prestigious importing company, she is a proficient organiser with impeccable time management skills.

Rachel ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes at Collective Minds, managing accounts, authorising payments and handling invoices. She enjoys her role in finance and customer services, having spent an additional 11 years working as branch manager and personal account manager for a well-known retail bank. She’s also a bit of a perfectionist with a meticulous eye for detail, so you can see why we love having her around!

When she’s not overseeing general office management, Rachel spends her free time running half-marathons and looking after her 3 children – equally exhausting tasks, we’re guessing!
